Director General of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali visited the coastal area bordering Teknaf on Sunday.

Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi informed this through a press release.

He said that the BCG is on high alert in the coastal border of Bangladesh due to the internal instability of neighbouring countries.

The recent ongoing conflict between the Myanmar Army and the Arakan Army has seen various attempts to take advantage of the prevailing volatile situation, including human trafficking, smuggling, drug smuggling, etc.

Members of BCG are always keeping a watchful eye through regular patrolling in the border areas.
