The rail communication between Chattogram to Cox's Bazar district disrupted after three coaches of the Eid special train derailed at Dulahazara area under Chakaria upazila on Wednesday morning.

Atiqul Islam, an official of Cox's Bazar Railway Station, confirmed the derailment, adding that the train, which departed Chattogram at around 7 am, met the unfortunate accident around 10am on Wednesday.
The disruption led to a temporary halt in rail services along the Cox's Bazar-Chattogram route, causing inconvenience to travelers and commuters.

Meanwhile, Golam Rabbani, station master of Cox's Bazar Railway Station, said that a rescue train had been dispatched from Chattogram's Pahartali station to rescue the derailed railway carriage and efforts to restore normalcy to the rail route are underway.

However, no casualties were reported in this incident, confirmed the station master.
