Minor drowns at Kawkhali

KAWKHALI, PIROJPUR, Apr 25: A 14-month-old minor child drowned in a canal in Kawkhali Upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The incident took place in Shirsha Village under Soyna Raghunathpur Union of the upazila at around 11:30 am.
 
Deceased Morsalin was the son on Md Sohel Mir of the area. It was known that Morsalin fell in a canal next to the house while playing beside it.

Sensing the matter, the family members rescued him and rushed to Kawkhali Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared the child dead.
