400 kg chemically ripened mangoes destroyed at Kaliganj

SATKHIRA, Apr 27: A mobile court seized 400 kilogram (KG) chemically ripened mangoes and destroyed these in Kaliganj Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
On information, the mobile court team raided the warehouse of Azizul Islam in Baliadanga Market at Krishnanagar Union in the upazila and seized the mangoes.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Azahar Ali led the raid.
Warehouse Owner Azizul Islam could not be arrested.
Executive Magistrate of Mobile Court Azahar Ali said, on receiving information, Upazila Agriculture Officer Wasimuddin along with local public representatives raided the area.Later on, the seized mangoes were crushed by wheels of a car in presence of all local    people.
