KHULNA, Apr 27: The Cluster admission test of 24 general and science and technology universities for the 2023-2024 academic session was held peacefully in the Khulna University (KU) sub-centre here on Saturday.
Besides, some admission seekers also took part in Government Deldar Ahmed Secondary School, Reverend Paul High School, and Hope Polytechnic Institute under the KU sub-centre.
At least 92.10 per cent of admission seekers out of 8,886 attended the first days examination from 12pm to 1pm.
The admission seekers took part in the examination under the Science group, Ka Unit, said a KU press release. Vice-Chancellor of KU Dr Mahmud Hossain inspected different centres during the admission test.
VC said, the KU authority has taken adequate measures for admission seekers side by side waiting arrangement for the guardians considering blistering heatwave at all exam centres.
The VC also thanked the government, especially law-enforcement agencies, and all the 24 university authorities for taking admission tests outside the capital for hassle-free examinations, the press release added.
Treasurer Professor Amit Roy Chowdhury, Dean of Fine Arts School and Focal Point of the examination Prof Dr Nihar Ranjon Singha, deans of different KU Schools, and Acting Registrar Professor Khan Golam Quddus, among others, were present during the inspection of the VC.
Besides, only design-related architecture examination was held from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on the campus.
The admission test for the Kha Unit (Humanity Faculty) will be held on May 3 while the Ga Unit (Business Faculty) will be held on May 10, the press release maintained.
