Bus, bike catch fire in Banani: Injured bank official dies
A bank manager, who was injured after his motorcycle caught fire being hit by a bus in Banani area of the capital on Saturday, has succumbed to his injuries at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital.
Deceased Mostafa Kamal was manager of Mutual Trust Bank's Hasnabad branch, it was learnt.
According to Banani Police Station OC Kazi Sahan Haque, a bus of 'JK Paribahan' hit a motorcycle on the Banani flyover on Saturday afternoon. The motorbike then got stuck under the bus and the speeding bus took the vehicle to 20 feet away. Suddenly, both vehicles caught fire.
Police have searched the bike rider at several government hospitals but did not find.
Later, it was learnt that the bike rider was a bank manager and he died at at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital.
