The road communication of Baghaichari  upazila in Rangamati with the rest of the country remained suspended since Thursday night due to a landslide, triggered by heavy overnight rain in the region.

Baghaichari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shirin Akhtar said the landslide occurred on Thursday night and no vehicles have been able to enter or leave the upazila.

She said efforts to clear the Baghaichari-Dighinala road were underway, and the movement of traffic was expected to resume soon.
