DU students, BCL announce progs in solidarity with global students

Dhaka University (DU) students on Saturday announced to hold a progaramme expressing solidarity with the Free Palestine Movement, outbreak on campuses across the world.

The programme will be held at the base of Raju Memorial Sculpture on the campus at 3:00pm today (Sunday), said Musaddique Ali, a student of the Bangla Department of the university.

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) also announced a flag hoisting and procession programme in solidarity with the ongoing global student movement advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestine State and ceasefire in Gaza.

BCL leaders and activists will gather at Madhus Canteen on the DU campus at 11:00am tomorrow (Monday) and hoist the national flag of Palestine.

Following the flag hoisting event, they will bring out a procession to the Anti-terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture at the university.

A press release signed by BCL President Saddam Hussain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Enan said, "We express unwavering support to the global student movement resonating across campuses worldwide."
