Law enforcers are yet to submit charge sheet of the murder of former Jubo League leader and former councillor of Shibganj municipality of Chapainawabgan Khairul Alam Jem after one year.
The charge sheet of Khairul Alam Jem Muder case is pending as accused were influential people, according to sources.
Former councillor of Shibganj municipality Khairul Alam Jem was stabbed on different parts of his body at Udayan More area in the town by some miscreants at 6:20pm on April 19 last year.
According to the investigation of the case and the confessional statement given to the court, the person who ordered the murder was influential ruling party man of Chapainawabganj. According to his plan the killing mission was carried out by the leader of Swechchhasebak League leader (now expelled) Md Mesbaul Hoque Tutul. In this regard, despite the statement of the accused under section 164, the police could not give the charge sheet due to the pressure of the local influencers.
Jems elder brother, Monirul Islam, later filed a murder case with Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Thana on April 22, against 46 people including Chapainawabganj Municipality Mayor Mokhlesur Rahman.
Five accused of the murder of former Jubo League leader and former councillor of Shibganj Municipality Khairul Alam Jem were arrested from different parts of the country on April 24 last year.
