Tigers to warm-up against India on WC inaugural day

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the fixtures of warm-up matches of the ICC Mens T20 World Cup 2024. Bangladesh will take on India in a crucial practice match on June 1, the inaugural day of the World Cups main event.

The 16 warm-up matches ahead of the ICC Mens T20 World Cup 2024 are scheduled from May 27 to June 1 across the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. The venues hosting include Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queens Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.

A total of 17 teams play the warm-up games, including South Africa, who are playing an intra-squad on the May 29 in Florida. Pakistan, England and New Zealand are the only 3 out of the 20 teams in the tournament to avoid warm-up games before the league stage of the tournament.

These warm-up fixtures will be 20 overs per side and will not have international T20 status, allowing teams to field all members of their 15-player squad.

Bangladesh will play two warm-up matches against USA and India scheduled for May 28 and June 1 respectively.
