Decomposed body of schoolboy recovered in Dinajpur

Police recovered the half-melted body of a school student, who went missing on Friday, from a house at Bochaganj upazila in Dinajpur district on Sunday morning. 

The body was recovered from the house of Laisur Rahman at Tena village under Nafanagar union in the upazila. 

Deceased Md Sakib Hasan, 16, was son of Md Mominul Islam, and a resident of the aforesaid village. He was a student of class X at Daulatpur Ideal High School.

Jafar Ullah, the victim's uncle, said Sakib left home on Friday afternoon to play cricket and did not return home till late night. 
Later on Sunday morning, locals informed police following a malodour coming from Laisur Rahman's house, said Abu Bakkar Siddique Rasel, officer in-charge of Bochaganj Police Station.

"On information, police searched the house and recovered the decomposed body with hand and feet tied from the room of Laisur's son Mirazul Islam Miraz. Subsequently, the body was sent to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy," he said.

Miraz went into hiding on Saturday night after being informed that the law enforcers were going to raid the house, said the OC.

The reason behind the death could not be known yet, however, efforts were underway to catch the involved persons, the police official added.
