Banglalink posts revenue growth by 6pc to Tk 1,544cr in Q124

Banglalink, the countrys leading innovative digital operator, posted renenue growth by 6 per cent YoY (Year on Year) to Tk 1,544 crore in the first quarter (January-March).

This significant achievement is credited to Banglalinks overall subscriber growth, particularly in 4G subscribers, fueled by its superior network speed, expanding coverage, and innovative digital services that consistently deliver attractive value propositions to its customers, as reported by VEON, Banglalinks parent company, says a press release.

According to the latest subscriber numbers released by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), Banglalinks total subscriber count reached 4.44 crore in March 2024, up from 4.1 crore in 2023, marking a jump of more than 3 precent.

Notably, Banglalink has seen the highest subscriber growth in the industry over the past year.

VEONs report reveals that Banglalink now boasts nearly 2.2 crore 4G users, up from 1.7 crore in 2023, reflecting a remarkable increase of more than 23 percent. This growth path underscores Banglalinks commitment to becoming a national operator by expanding network coverage and offering innovative digital services.

As Banglalink continues to expand its 4G coverage across the country and simultaneously grows its subscriber base under its 4G for all vision, the company reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the fastest network speeds in the country. Banglalink secured the Ookla® Speedtest Award™ as the Fastest Mobile Network in the country for the 8th consecutive time in the last 4 years.

Aligned with VEONs Digital Operator 1440 model, Banglalinks digital operator strategy has been instrumental in promoting the adoption of innovative digital services in Bangladesh. Additionally, the MyBL SuperApp has gained significant traction, boasting 8.3 million monthly active users and offering healthcare, education, bill payment, and entertainment solutions on a single convenient platform.
