Tanveer's mother Sharmin Sultana mentioned in her GD that she has two sons and two daughters. Tanveer is the eldest among them. On Tuesday afternoon, Tanveer's father Saidur Rahman told reporters: "I live in a rented house at Purbo Azampur in Dakkhin Khan with my family. Tanveer went out of his house on May 17 last. Since then we could not establish contacts with Tanveer. Then his two phone numbers were found off at 9:00pm. Then we contacted with his classmates at the hall but could not trace his whereabouts. We did not find his mobile phone at home."

Meanwhile, Dakkhin Khan Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Sheikh Aminul Bashar claimed that Tanveer left his mobile phone at home.

"Tanveer went out of home in the afternoon on May 17. Police couldn't trace his whereabouts using the technology. We're looking for him manually. A police team will go toe BUET campus on Wednesday for inquiry," he said.
