Research indicates that when fathers are more involved with their children, it positively impacts their developmental outcomes. Longer paternity leaves and increased time spent caring for children correlate with higher cognitive test scores, as seen in studies across four countries, including the United States.

However, in Bangladesh, where long working hours are common, many fathers struggle to find time for household chores, let alone spending quality time with their children. Despite societal challenges, there are fathers embracing fatherhood as a crucial aspect of their identity and utilizing technology to strengthen their bond with their kids.

As Fathers Day approaches, we explore how fathers are leveraging technology to enhance their relationships with their children. Salman, 34, new dad expressed, "If I had to be physically present to checklist all items , I would have missed out on so much being at work. Being able to stay connected through the right apps whenever I need them allows me to fulfill my role as a good parent and a productive employee."

On-demand food delivery apps like foodpanda enable dads to pleasantly surprise their kids with sudden pizzas or opt for homechef to enjoy homemade meals on weekends, removing the burden of meal preparation from their wives or themselves. This, in turn, gives them more quality time to spend with their children, engaging in activities like building physical activities or playing board games at home. Moin, a 45-year-old father of two, shared, "Earlier, I would receive a call every day at work asking for chips or ice cream on my way home. It would often be tiring or I would occasionally forget. But now, I simply order when needed, I am winning the best parent title this month"

Zahedul Islam, Head of Public Affairs and Public Relations, foodpanda shares, "Technology, and more specifically apps help us work smarter instead of working harder. At foodpanda, our mission is to empower customers to work smartly by leveraging apps to delegate daily tasks, enabling them to prioritize quality time with their families and themselves. As our customer base continues to expand, extending more than just food delivery, we are inspired by the meaningful impact we create everyday"
Zubayer, a caring husband, wanted to support his wife as she returned to work after maternity leave to ensure she didn feel overwhelmed with mom guilt. To ease their concerns, they installed a CCTV camera at home, allowing them to take shifts monitoring their baby during the day. This arrangement helped them balance work responsibilities while ensuring their childs well-being.

Nobin shares how he used to stress over his kids rising screen time. So he downloaded a game they could all play together.

Since then, they love hunting these interactive games, they could play on separate devices fostering teamwork and creating memorable moments together.

Joyanta Das shares Apps like Sharetrip, was a savior when his  A levels graduated kept nagging for their first trip abroad.

They were able to create a budget-friendly perfect itinerary that checked off all the boxes for their childrens activities.

In a society where fatherhood is evolving, these stories highlight how technology can empower fathers to actively participate in their childrens lives, contributing to their growth and well-being.
