Couple dies as house collapses in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, May 28: An elderly couple died as their house collapsed on them at Chagriapara village in Sadar upazila here on Tuesday.

The victims were identified as Kalu Mia, 75, and his wife Sabmeher Begum, 62, residents of the same area.

Police said the house collapsed early Tuesday morning after a stack of bricks fell on it due to the heavy rain triggered by the cyclone Remal.

They died on the spot, said local Union Parishad chairman Siful Haque Shapon. —BSS
