Missing elderly man found dead in Jhenaidah

Police have recovered the half-melted body of an elderly man, who went missing last Sunday, from a jute field at Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah district.

The body was recovered from Basudebpur village in the upazila on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Tarapada Biswas,95, hailed from Srifaltala village in Magura district.

It was learnt that, the elderly man had been missing since last Sunday while he was going to his relative house in Basudebpur area from Jhenaidah Sadar. 
Later, locals spotted his half-melted body in the field on Friday morning and informed police

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Abu Azif, officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station. 

The reason behind the death would be known after autopsy, the police official added.
