Three men electrocuted in Netrakona, Mbazar, Nganj

Three men were electrocuted in separate incidents in three districts - Netrakona, Moulvibazar and Narayanganj, on Saturday and Sunday.
NETRAKONA: A lineman was electrocuted in Purbadhala Upazila of the district on Sunday.
The incident took place in Gopinathkhila area under Hugla Union at noon.
The deceased was identified as Manik Shikdar, 35, son of Hazi Abul Kashem, a resident of Sollisa Bazar area. He was a lineman of Hugla Complain Centre under Purbadhala Zonal Office.
Deputy General Manager of Purbadhala Zonal Office Golam Mortoza said Manik came in contact with a live electric wire at noon while he was working in the area, which left him injured.  
He was then rescued and rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor referred him to Dhaka for better treatment as his condition was deteriorating. Later on, he died on the way to Dhaka.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Purbadhala Police Station (PS) Rashidul Islam said that no one informed the matter to police.  
KULAURA, MOULVIBAZAR: A young man was electrocuted while catching fish in Kulaura Upazila of the district on Saturday.
The incident took place in Mohisajuri area under Rauthgaon Union at noon.
The deceased was identified as Saidul Alam Roni 30, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Monoraj Village under the same union. It was known that Roni came in contact with a live electric wire at noon while he was catching fish in a fishery farm, which left him dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Sub-Inspector of Kulaura PS Anowar Hossain confirmed the incident, adding that necessary steps would be taken in this regard.
NARAYANGANJ: A madrasa teacher was electrocuted in Araihazar Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The incident took place at Nagrapara Kaoumi Madrasa in Word No. 8 under Araihazar Municipality.
The deceased was identified as Md Israfil, 40, son of Abdul Baten. He was the head teacher of the madrasa.
The deceaseds family members said Israfil came in contact with a live electric wire in the morning while he was attempting to start a generator at the madrasa, which left him critically injured.
Locals then rescued him and took to Araihazar Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared Israfil dead. Being informed, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceaseds family members without an autopsy as no complaint was lodged from them in this regard.
