Moon sighted, Eid-Ul-Azha on June 17

The holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims, is set to be celebrated in the country on June 17 (Monday) as the crescent moon of Zilhaj month was sighted in Bangladesh on Friday evening.

The decision was made at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka on Friday evening, presided by Religious Affairs Minister Faridul Haque Khan.
