Ex-MP Farhad of Kishoreganj passes away in city

Farhad Ahmed Chowdhury Kanchan, a Freedom Fighter and a former lawmaker from Kishoreganj-4, has died at a hospital in Dhaka at the age of 79.

He passed away at 1.00pm on Saturday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital.
Farhad Ahmed had been suffering from old health complications, according to his physician Prof Dr. Ferdows Ahmed Chowdhury.   Farhad Ahmed has been involved in politics since his student life. He actively participated in the Bangladesh War of Independence.

He had been elected to parliament from Kishoreganj-4 in 1979,  according to his son.   Farhad was the District Organizing Secretary of Greater Mymensingh Bhasani NAP.
