Police recovered the body of a woman from a house in the Dhula Udal housing project at Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur district on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Akhi Moni, 27, wife of Mahmud alias Modhu, a resident of South Polasbari Dhula Udal housing project in the upazila.
Police detained deceased's husband, suspecting his involvement in the incident.
It was learnt that there had been at loggerheads between Akhi Moni and her husband Mahmud over family matters since their marriage.
As a sequel to that, they locked in an altercation on Sunday afternoon.
Later, locals spotted Akhi's bloody body on the floor of her room around 10:00 pm.
There were injury marks of Akhi's head.
On information, police recovered the body and brought it to Parbatipur Model Police Station, said Chittya Ranjan Roy, officer-in-charge of Parbatipur Model Police Station.
Legal actions would be taken in this regard, he added.
