Missing Ctg Palli Bidyut Samity director's body recovered

The body of Ashraf Uddin Kajol, director of Chattogram Palli Bidyut Samity-1, has been recovered 24 hours after who went missing from Karnaphuli river.

The body was recovered around 5:30 pm on Sunday.
Kajol's body was found floating in Chandgaon Hamidchar area of Karnaphuli river by local people. Coast Guard recovered the body.

Kalurghat Fire Station Senior Officer Bahar Uddin confirmed the matter.

Locals said that Kajol's body was found floating in the Hamidchar area of Karnaphuli river at around 5 pm. They informed the Coast Guard and brought it to East Kalurghat ferry ghat.

Earlier, on Saturday June 22, around 5:30 pm, a passenger boat hit a ferry on the west side of Kalurghat Bridge. Two people, including Kajol, fell from the boat.
