Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister
Anisul Huq has said that those who are complaining that
BNP Chairperson Begum
Khaleda Zia is not getting proper treatment, are turning themselves as ridiculous.
"Whether they are in right balance, will have to be seen first. They make these statements because their approach is not balanced. Hope that, they don't make personal attacks."
The law minister made these comments while replying to reporters on Monday about Khaleda Zia's treatment issue.
"A pacemaker has been implanted in Khaleda Zia's chest at Evercare Hospital on Sunday (June 23) afternoon. Now, she is doing very well, I heard. I only said that the BNP chairperson is getting better treatment at the Evercare Hospital. She has several chronic ailments that are not fully curable, but the necessary treatments to manage these conditions are being administered."
The law minister said, "Those who are saying that Khaleda Zia is not getting better treatment for me, has turned themselves ridiculous."
While asking BNP raised question about the law minister's sincerity and humanity, Anisul Huq said, "Whether they are in right balance, will have to be seen first."
"They have the freedom to express anger through press conference. But hope that, they will speak the truth and refrain from personal attacks," he added.
Earlier, the law minister said that the law, under which BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been released after suspending her jail term, does not permit sending her abroad for treatment.
