Elderly man's body recovered in Faridpur

Police recovered the body of an elderly man from a paddy field in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district on Friday afternoon. 

The deceased was identified as Motaleb Howlader, 75, a resident of Ghosh village under Azimnagar union in the upazila. 

It was learnt that Motaleb Howlader went missing almost one month ago while he was returning home from one of his relative house. 

After two days of missing, his son filed a general dairy with Bhanga Police Station. 
Later, on Friday morning, locals spotted the body in a paddy field of Kalamridha union in the upazila and informed the police. 

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital of Faridpur, said Md Mamum Al Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Police Station.

Legal steps are under process in this regard, the OC added.
