Man killed in landslide in Bandarban

A man was killed in a landslide in Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban on Saturday.

The deceased was Abu Bakkar, 55, son of the late Ali Mia of that area.

Quoting locals Naikhongchhari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Mannan said Bakkar went to his fishing project at the foot of Phultali hill in the morning.
While working on the drain on the side of the hill suddenly a chunk of mud fell on him due to a landslide at around 11am in Phultali area of Ward No. 9 of Naikhongchhari Sadar UP.

Bakkar died on the spot.

The body was recovered and handed over to the family after a autopsy.
