The High Court will hear on Tuesday on a writ petition filed seeking its directive to the authorities concerned of the government to submit the list of the movable and immovable properties of the government servants and publish it on the website.
The HC bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Kazi Ebadat Hossain on Monday fixed the date for holding hearing on the petition.
Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Subir Nandi Das filed the writ petition with the related branch of the High Court on Sunday seeking its directive in this regard.
Secretaries to Establishment Ministry, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) chairman, the Bangladesh Bank governor and six others concerned have been made respondents in the petition.
Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik said advocate Subir Nandi filed a petition seeking permission to initiate a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking the disclosure of government officials property statements.
The court subsequently granted permission to proceed.
Subir Nandi said, "I have submitted the writ petition seeking directives for submission of the list of the government servants properties to prevent accumulation of illegal wealth (movable or immovable)."
