Two more people have lost their lives after facing a tragic road accident at Fulbari upazila in
Dinajpur district on Friday afternoon, around eight hours after the massive road crash in Sadar upazila where six people were killed.
The
accident took place around 2pm on the Dinajpur-Fulbari regional highway at North Sujapur area of the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Aman, 45, of Nawna village, and Menhazul, 40, of Paruil village under Panchbibi upazila. They both were cattle trader by profession.
According to the witnesses, a cow-laden three wheeler from Ambarihaat was heading towards Fulbari. On the way, it collided-head on with a truck which was heading towards Dinajpur, leaving the duo dead on the spot and four others critically injured.
The injured were rescued and taken to Fulbari Upazila Health Complex first where the physicians referred them to Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
Confirming the matter, Fulbari Police Station officer-in-charge Md Mostafizur Rahman said on information, police went there and the legal procedures were underway in this regard.
Earlier on Friday morning, at least five people, including a child, were killed and 25 others were injured after a mango-laden truck and a bus collided head-on in Dinajpur Sadar upazila around 6 am.
