Nobel laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus and six of his Grameen Telecom colleagues on Monday filed a petition with the High Court challenging the legality of a Dhaka Court order that framed charges against them for embezzling of Tk 25.22 crore from the Grameen workers fund.

Lawyer Abdullah-Al-Mamun submitted the petition on behalf of the accused, seeking HC order to scrap the trial proceedings of the case.

The HC bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Kazi Ebadoth Hossain is likely to hold hearing on the petition on Tuesday.
