Three electrocuted in Kushtia, Jashore, Gaibandha

Three people including a schoolboy were electrocuted in separate incidents in three districts - Kushtia, Jashore and Gaibandha, in four days.
DAULATPUR, KUSHTIA: A schoolboy was electrocuted in Daulatpur Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at Poalbaria Nasir Uddin Biswas Government Primary School of Philipnagar Union in the upazila at around 10:30 am.
The deceased was identified as Jisan, 11, son of Kamal Hossain, a resident of Poalbaria Village under the union. He was a third grader at Nasir Uddin Biswas Government Primary School.
Police and local sources said Jisan was playing on his school field in the morning. At one stage, he came in contact with live electricity while climbed on the roof of a tin-shed building there, which left the boy dead on the spot.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
An unnatural death case was filed with Daulatpur Police Station (PS) in this connection.    
SHARSHA, JASHORE: A young man was electrocuted in Sharsha Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman Habib, 30, son of Jihad Ali, a resident of Chotkapota area in the upazila.
It was known that Habibur came in contact with an electric live wire in the morning while he was attempting to tie an electric wire to the mouth of a pipe connected to an irrigation pump in a field of the area, which left him critically injured.
Locals then rescued the injured and rushed him to Sharsha Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared the youth dead.
Being informed, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceaseds family members without an autopsy as there were no allegations lodged from them with the PS in this regard.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sharsha PS Sheikh Moniruzzaman confirmed the incident.
GAIBANDHA: An electrician was electrocuted while connecting a dish line in Sundarganj Upazila of the district on Saturday night.
The incident took place at Samirer Bazar under Chaparhati Union in the upazila at around 8 pm.
The deceased was identified as Uzzal Chandra Barman, 22, son of Ronjit Chandra Barman, a resident of Uttar Moruadoh Village under Chaparhati Union in the upazila.
Local sources said Uzzal came in contact with a live electric wire while he was working in an electric pole to connect a dish line at Samirer Bazar at night. He then fell from the pole, which left him critically injured.
Locals rescued him and took to Sundarganj Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared the youth dead at around 8:15 pm.
Being informed, police recovered the body and handed it over to the deceaseds family after completing primary investigation.
Sundarganj PS OC Md Mahbub Alom confirmed the incident.
