Teacher dies in Ctg road crash

A primary school teacher died in a road accident early Thursday in Chattogram's Fatikchhari upazila.

The accident took place around 1.30 am at Katirhat on the ​​Chittagong-Khagrachari highway.
The dead Md Zafar, son of Baharul Alam, of Bara Betua village under Dantmara union in Fatikchhari, was an assistant teacher at Pashchim Hasanabad Government Primary School.

According to police, Zafar and his wife were returning to Fatikchhari after visiting doctor from Chattogram city by a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw. On the way, the auto-rickshaw hit a truck standing on the side of the road from behind. Zafar died on the spot, his wife was injured.

Nazirhat Highway Police Station Second Officer Anisur Rahman said that the auto-rickshaw hit the truck standing on the side of the road from behind. The truck and auto-rickshaw have been seized. A case has been filed in this regard.
