6 held while preparing for robbery in Natore

Police arrested six members of a robber group while preparing robbery from Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway area under Gurudaspur upazila in Natore district on Wednesday night.

The arrested men are Mithu, 28, hailed from Naogaon; Mokaddas, 60; Nayem, 28; Hossain Ali, 20; Emdadul, 45; Suzon, 25; all five hailed from Sirajganj.

Md Uzzal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Gurudaspur Police Station, said acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid in the area and arrested the robbers. At that time, police recovered a pick-up van, and various local weapons from their possessions.
