Bahamian woman held with 4-kg cocaine at Ctg airport

A Bahamian national was detained along with around 4-kg cocaine in her luggage at at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.

The detainee was 54-year-old Statia Shantae Rolle, a citizen of the Bahamas.


Saifur Rahman, joint director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department in Chattogram, said Shantae had travelled from Brazil to Dubai before arriving in Chattogram on July 13 and she did not have any luggage with her at the time.

Two days after she landed in Chattogram, she came to the airport to pick up her luggage. 
She was detained and a package of cocaine, weighing 3,900 gm, was seized after searching her luggage.

The security personnel at the airport detained her.
