Mobile court fines 3 hotels, one pharmacy in Dinajpur

A mobile court fined three hotels and one pharmacy Tk 18,000 for preparing foods in an unhygienic environment and keeping date expired medicines at Hili Bazar in Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district on Monday.

Assistant director of the district consumer rights protection department, Momtaz Begum, and upazila assistant commissioner (Land) Layla Yasmin conducted a joint drive in Dinajpur's Hili in the afternoon. 

During the drive, the mobile court imposed fines of Tk 5,000 on each of the three hotels and Tk 3,000 on the pharmacy. 

"One of the officials from the upazila administration said that similar drives will continue to ensure pure food and medicine for consumers."
