2 killed in Ctg clash between BCL, protestors

Two people were killed in a clash between Chhatra League and protesters demanding quota reform in Chittagong.

The incident happened around 4 pm on Tuesday (July 16).
Both bodies are in the emergency department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Saiful Islam confirmed the information.

One of the dead was a student of Chittagong College and the other was initially reported to be a pedestrian.

Hospital director Brigadier General Mohammad Taslim Uddin confirmed the death.

Earlier, on Tuesday (July 16) at around 2.30 pm in Rangpur, Abu Saeed, one of the coordinators of quota reform movement of Begum Rokeya University (BRU) and a 12th batch student of English Department, was killed in a clash with police.
