PANCHAGARH, July 16: Doors of employment have been opened for women and men in Panchagarg-1 Constituency of the district.
For this purpose, a talent completion was jointly organized by Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (Bitac), and Aspire to Innovate-A2I and ActionAid Bangladesh.
Yes Card awarding ceremony of the winners of the talent haunt competition was held in the town on Monday.
Naimuzzaman Bhuia Mukta, MP (Pachagarh-1) presented the Yes Card as the chief guest. Deputy Commissioner Zahurul Islam presided over the event.
ActionAid Bangladeshs Nazmul Ahsan, A2I Project Strategy and Innovation Specialist Asad-uz-Zaman, Bitac Self-Employment and Poverty Alleviation (Sepa) Phase-2 Project Director Iqbal Hossain Patwari, and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zakir Hossain were, among others, present at the event.
The programme was conducted by Syed Abdul Baki, executive engineer of Sepa Project.
Unemployed youths and young women between 18-30 years of age from 8th class/equal to HSC equivalent can apply online; a total of 360 people have been selected initially on the basis of applications; they will be trained in 12 trades in phases; initially 50 unemployed women will be trained; and they will be given jobs in various industries after three months of training in various trades.
Three hundred more unemployed youths and young women will be brought under training in October next.
This opportunity is only for the unemployed youths and young women of three upazilas of Panchagarh-1 Constituency.
This project has been taken up for Panchagarh-1 Constituency at the personal initiative of Naimuzzaman Bhuia Mukta, MP.
