Earlier at about 4:00pm, a large number of students came in front of the vice-chancellor's residence at Fuller Road with a mammoth procession. A group of protesting students were present there from earlier.

Before it, the students offered gayebana janaza prayer keeping six coffins in front of them in memory of six individuals who were killed on Tuesday across the country. At that time, the students expressed firm determination to not vacate the residential halls in any way.
On the other hand, Chhatra League and Jubo League held a rally and brought out procession at Shahbagh intersection. A large number of police, RAB and BGB personnel were deployed there. None was allowed to enter the university area without showing identity cards.
