The government has suspended the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations, scheduled for July 21, 23, and 25 under all education boards amid the ongoing student protests demanding quota reform and the worsening law and order situation in the country.

Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee made the announcement in a statement issued on Thursday afternoon.

The new schedule for the postponed exams would be announced later, and the exams on July 28 would proceed as scheduled, read the notice.

Earlier on July 16, the committee suspended the HSC and its equivalent examination scheduled for Thursday (July 17) on the same ground.
Meanwhile, classroom activities in all educational institutions from primary to tertiary levels remained closed since July 17 until further notice.
