Eight dacoits held in Pabna

PABNA, July 18: Police arrested eight members of an inter-district robbery gang including its leader on Wednesday.

In a press conference held in his office in the morning, Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Ahad, BPM, PPM (Bar) said, a violent robbery took place in the house of Atiqur Rahman of Gopinathpur Village in Santhia Upazila of the district on the late night of July 10.

Robbers looted Tk 15 lakh and gold ornaments.

Police conducted raids in various places including Dhaka, Narayanganj, and Savar.
