30th founding anniv of Swechasebak League celebrated in districts

The 30th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League was celebrated on Saturday in districts including Gopalganj and Pirojpur.

GOPALGANJ: To mark the Day, different programmes were organized in the district.

The Day's programme began with hoisting of the national and party flags on District Awami League (AL) office premises in the town at 7 am.

At 9 am, leaders and activists of District Swechasebak League led by its President Mohsin Uddin Shikder placed a wreath on the grave of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara. 

After that, a special munajat was offered there seeking the divine blessings for the martyred family members of Bangabandhu. 

As the Day was the birthday of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a munajat was also offered seeking his wellbeing. 

Later on, a discussion meeting was held at the District AL office.

District Swechasebak League President Mohsin Uddin Shikder presided over the meeting. 

General Secretary (GS) of the organization Abdul Aziz Khan, and its leaders Tariquzzaman Chowdhury, Helal Kazi, Advocate Mafiz, Ikramuzzaman, Sazzadur Rahman, Kamal Hossain and Nazrul Islam, among others, also spoke on the occasion.

PIROJPUR: In this connection, different programmes were organized in the district.

The Day's programme began with hoisting of the national and party flags on District AL office premises in the town in the morning.

After that, wreaths were placed on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Mujib Chattar in the town. 

District AL President AKMA Awal, its GS Advocate Kanai Lal Biswas and District Swechasebak League GS Sumon Shikder, among others, were also present at the programme.

Later on, improved diet was served among the poor and destitute people at noon on behalf of District Swechasebak League.
