The Home Ministry on Sunday, transferred two Additional Inspectors General of Police, five Additional Deputy Inspector General and 48 officers in the rank of Superintendent of Police.
The transfers were made using fur separate notifications issued by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Deputy Secretary Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh signed the notifications on order from the President.
In one of these notifications, two additional IGP have been transferred. Another notification transferred five Additional DIGs.
Besides, 32 officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police have been transferred in one notification and 16 officers using another order.
The notifications state that they were issued in public interest with immediate effect.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Telecom Rajarbagh AKM Shahidur Rahman has been transferred to the Directorate of Police as Additional Inspector General of Police.
Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Shakhawat Hussain has been transferred to Tourist Police as Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr Md Akkas Uddin Bhunya of Police Academy at Sarda has been transferred to the anti-terrorism unit of the police.
Additional Deputy Inspector General of Anti-Terrorism Unit. Asad Ullah Chowdhury has been transferred to Naval Police.
