Access to all social media platforms--Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Whatsapp--will be restored by Wednesday afternoon, said State Minister for Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak.

He held an online meeting with representatives from Meta and Facebook, at the BTRC building in the capital in the morning.

Senior officials from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), including its chairman, were also present.

Mobile internet was restored across the country on July 28, 10 days after it was shut down amid the unrest centering the Quota Reform Movement.
