Two siblings killed in Gopalganj road accident

Two brothers were killed after a bus rammed an auto-rickshaw at Muksudpur upazila in Gopalganj district on Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Barishal highway in front of the Lam-Mim restaurant under Raghdi union in the upazila. 

The deceased were identified as Abul Bashar Sheikh, 40, and Abul Khair Sheikh,35, sons of Abu Raihan Sheikh, residents of Bishwambhardi village in the upazila.

It was learnt that a Dhaka-bound Sakura Paribahan bus hit the auto-rickshaw when the bus overtaking a truck from the same direction in front of the Lam-Mim restaurant, leaving the two brothers dead on the spot. At that time, the auto-rickshaw driver was injured. 
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to a Gopalganj hospital morgue for autopsy, said Abu Sayed Md Khairul Anam, officer-in charge of Bhanga Highway Police Station.
