2 brothers killed in Nilphamari road crash

Two motorcycle-riding brothers died after being hit by an oil-carrying lorry in Nilphamari's Syedpur. 

The accident happened on Friday (August 2) afternoon in Wapda Mor area of ​​the town.
The dead Sumon, 27, and his younger brother Siam, 22, son of Elias Ali, were residents of Kacharipara under ​​Nilphamari Sadar upazila.

According to eyewitnesses and police, the two deceased brothers were going towards Syedpur from Nilphamari riding on a motorcycle. On the way, an oil-carrying lorry coming from the opposite direction collided with the motorcycle in that area, leaving them injured. 

Local people rescued them and took to hospital where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Syedpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shah Alam confirmed it. The body will be handed over to the family after legal proceedings, he said.
