NCC Banks approves 12pc cash dividend

National Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank PLC has approved 12 per cent cash dividend for the year 2023 at its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on  virtual platform on Thursday, says a press release. 

Chairman of NCC Bank Md. Abul Bashar presided over the meeting while Vice-Chairman Sohela Hossain, Director and Past Chairman Md. Abdul Awal, Past Chairman & Chairman of the Risk Management Committee Alhaj Md. Nurun Newaz, Director and Past Vice-Chairman Tanzina Ali, Director Syed Asif Nizamuddin, Director and Past Vice Chairman Khairul Alam Chaklader, Managing Director and CEO M. Shamsul Arefin and DMD and Company Secretary Md Monirul Alam, and a large nmber of Shareholders among others joined the AGM virtually. 

The Audited Financial Statements of the bank for the year ended on December 31, 2023 along with the Auditors' report and Directors' report were placed before the Shareholders at the AGM and duly approved by them with majority votes. 

Chairman of the bank Md Abul Bashar highlighted the business progress and     said that Shareholders' equity, and total assets of the NCC Bank are increasing gradually which is reflected in Credit Ratings and CAMELS Rating of the bank. 

He said instead of achieving aggressive growth we are focusing on maintaining asset quality, increasing low cost - no cost deposit, reducing cost of fund and increasing other commission-based business. He added that NCC Bank continuously maintains positive growth by assuring transparency and accountability as well as using advanced technology and ensuring better customer services which will continue in future as well.
