Rajshahi: Miscreants set fire to Mohanpur Police Station and Mohanpur Upazila Awami League office in the district. The incident happened around 12 pm on Sunday. Meanwhile, Mohanpur police patrol car was set on fire.
Besides, party office of Mohanpur Upazila Awami League was burnt. The agitators are staying in Mohanpur Bazar and are continuing their protest.
Rajshahi's Mohanpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Aisha Siddika said that additional law enforcement forces have been deployed to control the situation. Police are on the scene.
Faridpur: Agitators vandalized and set fire to Faridpur district Awami League office. As of writing this report, the agitators were protesting at various places in the town.
Earlier, the agitators started gathering at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College campus in Harokandi area of the town since morning. At around 10:30 am, they marched out of the campus and the agitators marched along the Faridpur Barishal highway towards the old bus stand. When they wanted to enter the town from there, they were initially stopped by the police, but later the police moved away.
Khulna: The Awami League office in the district was set on fire on the first day of the non-cooperation movement announced by the ongoing Anti-discrimination Sudent Movement. On Sunday around 12 pm, District and Metropolitan Awami League offices were set on fire in Khulna Conch Market.
At this time, the agitators started chanting slogans for the resignation of the government and the formation of a national government.
Panchagarh: According to the pre-announced program, the students started a non-cooperation movement in the district on one-point demand. The whole town is in turmoil in their movement. There was a fire incident in the party office of Awami League.
On Sunday (August 4), around 10:30 am, students started gathering at Chowrangi intersection in the town. At one point, a group of angry students attacked the party office of the district Awami League and set it on fire.
