Dear Sir
Teenagers today use a variety of drugs that have many different negative consequences. Two years ago, one of my good friends had offered me to use a drug that I wasn't familiar with. Of course, I denied her offer because the signs and effects of drugs were evident on my friend's own appearance, behaviour and attitude. I was well informed about drug use and its consequences. My friend's attitude towards people was absolutely ridiculous.
Drugs are everywhere today. Drug abuse is a leading cause of teen death or injury related to car crashes, suicides violence, and drowning. Some teens don't realize a onetime thing will end up as part of their lives forever. The most commonly used drugs are marijuana, stimulants (cocaine, crack, and speed), LSD, PCP, opiates, heroin and designer drugs.
If no one takes action to control this big issue, the teens will continue to lose their lives. Teens need help from adults, guardians, and role-models to help them make the right decisions. By teaching and informing teens of the negative consequences of drugs, you and I can make a deference in the lives of many. I believe that we need informed and cautious teens in today's complicated world. Let us make a pledge on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking that we will create a safe and positive environment for everyone.
