West Bengal Police calls for calm about Bangladesh situation

West Bengal Police in India has asked the people of the state to remain calm and maintain peace in view of the political upheaval in Bangladesh.

It was said in a post given on the verified Facebook page of the West Bengal Police on Tuesday.
To the common people, West Bengal Police says, 'Don't step into the trap of one-sided hateful and misleading propaganda. Keep calm, keep the peace.'

The post said, 'The way some local TV channels are reporting on the current situation in Bangladesh is clearly communally inflammatory and against the Press Council of India's guidelines.'

Viewers are requested to use their own judgment while viewing such coverage, said the West Bengal Police. Keep in mind that the authenticity of the footage shown by the channel is not verified by any neutral third organization.
