The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting lifted the suspension of Diganta Television, a private satellite channel, on Thursday.

The Awami League government has stopped the broadcasting of the channel in 2013 on charge of allegedly spreading hatred, rumours, and irresponsible reporting.

The ministry reversed its decision following an appeal from Diganta Television's management on Thursday and a copy of the order has been forwarded to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
