Police Headquarters has issued a directive to withdraw the temporary suspension orders for police officials up to the rank of Sub-Inspector (SI) across all units.

This decision was issued in a letter signed by Police Headquarters Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Belal Uddin on Friday.
The letter instructed all units to revoke the suspension orders of police personnel, from Constables to SIs, as well as Inspectors in the case of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), who were temporarily suspended for administrative reasons.

However, the directive clarified that this order does not apply to officers suspended due to court orders or criminal cases.

When contacted, Additional DIG Belal Uddin confirmed that the order is intended to reinstate officers who were suspended for administrative reasons. He reiterated that those suspended due to ongoing legal matters or court directives will not be affected by this order.
