Dengue claims two more lives

Two more dengue patients died and 204 were hospitalised with the viral fever in the country in last 24 hours till Saturday morning.

With the fatalities, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 64.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), currently, around 700 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.

A total of 7,767 dengue cases have been reported since January 1, 2024.
Last year saw 1,705 deaths due to dengue, marking it as the deadliest year on record.
