22 prisoners injured as clash breaks out in Gazipur jail

At least 22 inmates were injured after some prisoners of Gazipur District Jail tried to revolt on Thursday.

They set the beds and furniture on fire and tried to stage a jailbreak.
Later on, the prison guards charged batons and fired bullets to quell the clash, which left 22 inmates seriously injured.

On information, a team of army rushed to the scene and brought the situation under  control.
